Encounter with God

How does a person have an encounter with God? What does that phrase really mean?

It involves praying from the heart in accordance with God's word. In doing this, we find ourselves in a relationship with God or as some would call it an encounter with God.

Through the word of God and prayer, everything will come into proper God directed perspective and that includes knowing His sovereign will for us. John 13:35 says “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” That’s God’s will for us. Learning to have and show God’s love is an encounter with God.

That my friends, is a lot to think about and it should encourage us to want to have a prayer relationship with God.

Father, help us to always pray, and may our relationship with you grow deeper through prayer. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
